The popular TV show that you watch is "gossip girl". It is talking about the New Yorker's life from they are in high school to college.The theme of the TV show is gossip. Because of the gossip, it has many stories between the main characters. All of the characters are rich and they have the best life in NewYork. They have the most expensive clothes and bags and they can have party everyday. It is the life that everyone wants to have. On the other hand, the stories of the TV will make you shocked. It has 5 seasons, and you cant wait to watch the next one. In my opinion, it is the best movie i have watched.

We had an interview how people liked pop culture and high culture. I found that few of people knew the difference between the pop culture and high culture. After we telling them the difference, most of them liked pop culture because it was more popular and it was easy to understand. It was an interesting interview and everybody did a good job.

Technology

The thing I can not live without is cellphone. If there is no phone in the world, it will very inconvenient. People must face to face to talk, donot get the information at the first time. Maybe this can lead to people to do some urgent business on time. As we all know, the importance of phone for us. Therefore, phone change our life. If i do not have a cellphone, I fell I lose my hands. I can not talk to my friends anywhere. I will be crazy. Because of the phone, I can talk to my friends anythime and anywhere. I can also talk to my family who are in China by Internet. It is conveniect to keep a good relationship with my friends and my family.

Movie

Titanic

            This movie talks about a romantic story which happened on a boat called Titanic in the past. Rose, who was the female lead, didn’t want to marry with her boyfriend whose name is Caledon, and she wanted to kill herself. Jack, who was the male lead, saw Rose wanted to jump into the ocean and saved her. He brought Rose to experience the life that she had never seen. And then they fell in love. Unfortunately, the boat, which was named Titanic, was sick. Rose had a chance to get rid of the trouble, but she gave it up because she didn’t want to leave Jack on the boat. Because of love, they stayed together and tried to find a way to save themselves. Finally, they found a board, but it was too small to help 2 persons. Jack let Rose lay on the board and he stayed in the ocean. O the other day, Rose was found and saved. But Jack died in the ocean. Rose couldn’t forget Jack because he gave her too much happiness. Jack gave her a different life that she had never had.

Can you believe that animals can kill people? In the movie " rise of the planet of the apes", it happened. The movie is talking about a doctor adopt an ape and they live together for 5 years. The ape learnt a lot during the 5 years, and it had intelligent. Becuase the humans want to use apes to do the research, the ape felt dangerous and it was disppointed. It taught the other apes to kill humans. Many people died. It reminded people to think a lot by the movie. Animals are not as smart as humans, but it also has feelings. We should protect the animals after watching this movie.

Music

My favourite song is SHERO, which is from the group called "SHE". They are from TaiWan and they have been together for 10 years. They worked hard during the 10 years. They got everything without others' help. They are the good example for the teenagers nowdays. I learnt a lot from them and they gave me encouragement by their songs.

Reading

People like us

            The most interesting reading I like is “People like us” because it was not only happened in the past, it also happened nowadays. I feel it is very interesting.It makes it think of Chinatown. I am a Chinese, when I go to Chinatown, it makes me feel I am in China. At first, I feel confused why I felt like in China. The reading tells me the reasons. The people like to make friends who are from the same country, who have the same cultural. They stay together to talk about their country, and they have the same topics. That’s why it has Chinatown, Korean Town and so on. It makes me feel interesting. It is like we have China, Korea, Italy some different country in USA. We can visit the Korean Town to know the Korean cultural, and it is cheaper to visit Korean. On the other hand, people from the same country can stay together to show their own culture.

Cultural Identity

Many teenagers like hip-pop, breaking, new jazz nowadays. In Chinese cultural, there are many tradictional dances. They are different from pop-dance.

Now I want to introduce two of them for you.

This dance means thousands of hands of "Guanyin". "Guanyin" is a lady god in China. It protect Chinese's health, home, and bring luck to the people. The god has thousands of hands means that it can help people as more as possible. The dance is one of the celebration of the god. It also means that everyone has a good life.

China has 56 nations. Each nation has its own songs and dances. One of them call "Daizu". They usually dance like a peacock. They have their own clothes, like a peacock. On the other hand, their hand of their also like a peacock.In their cultural, peacock is the luncky animal. So they dance like a peocock to give people luck.
